Investing in the Future: Hamplus Technologies International Awards Full Scholarships to Five DELSU Students
In a heartwarming display of community investment and a strong commitment to youth empowerment, Hamplus Technologies International, a forward-thinking tech firm based in Abraka, Delta State, has awarded full scholarships to five deserving students from Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU). These scholarships cover a comprehensive 3-month training program in Web Development and Data Analysis—two of the most in-demand skills in today’s digital economy.
The initiative, which is part of Hamplus Technologies International’s broader mission to nurture local talent and bridge the tech skills gap in Nigeria, attracted dozens of applicants. After a rigorous selection process by the DELSU chapter of Nigeria Association of Computing Students, five students stood out—not just for their academic performance, but for their passion, curiosity, and commitment to learning.
In late July, 2025, the scholarship recipients were warmly welcomed to the company’s office in Abraka. The atmosphere was electric as the students toured the facility, met the development and data teams, and engaged in conversations with mentors who once started just where they are now.
“This isn’t just about coding or data,” said Hampo, JohnPaul A.C., founder of Hamplus Technologies International aka Hamplus Hub. “It’s about giving young people the tools to build a future for themselves and their communities. We’re proud to be doing this in Abraka, for Abraka.”
For many of the recipients, this marks a life-changing opportunity.
“I’ve always been interested in tech but never had the chance to get formal training,” said Stephanie (one of the recipients), a 300-level student in Computer Science Education. “Now, I feel like my dreams are within reach.”
Over the next three months, the students will engage in hands-on learning, real-world projects, and mentorship sessions designed to prepare them for careers in technology. By the end of the program, they’ll have not only learned valuable technical skills but also gained confidence in their ability to solve problems and think like innovators.
This move by Hamplus Technologies International is more than just corporate social responsibility—it’s a statement. A statement that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. And when businesses step up to bridge that gap, communities thrive.
