Are you a woman in Abraka or anywhere else, ready to dive in and learn how to build your very first website? Look no further! Django Girls Abraka is happy to present its 2025 workshop, a fantastic event arranged specifically for people with no experience in coding.
At this free two-day intensive workshop, women will discover the fundamentals of web development using Python and the high-level Django web framework. Get ready to transform your ideas into reality in a fun, empowering, and supportive environment!
What to Expect: Your Path to Programming
The Django Girls Abraka 2025 workshop is organized to provide a seamless and interesting learning process:
- Installation Party (September 11, 2025, 1PM): We start with an “Installation Party” at Hamplus Technologies International [Hamplus Hub] in Abraka. Experienced coaches will guide you through installing all software, including Django, on your laptop. This gets you completely ready to hit the ground running on the day of the main workshop.
- Main Workshop (September 12, 2025, 9AM): The majority of the workshop will be hands-on coding sessions in which you will create your first website step-by-step. You will learn HTML, CSS, Python, and Django in a fun and practical way. There will be breaks throughout the day for tea, lunch, and productive networking time with the other attendees and mentors.
Who Can Participate?
This workshop is aimed at women who would like to learn to programming. The requirements are:
- You are a woman.
- You speak English.
- You have a laptop available.
No technical experience is required!
This workshop is for complete beginners. If you are not based in Abraka, you can still submit an application, and the workshop will also be broadcast online for general participation. The workshop is free.

- Notification: You will be notified of the outcome of your application (acceptance or rejection) via email and possibly SMS by September 10, 2025, or sooner.
