Just after the Django Summit DELSU 1.0 held, in less than a week, Hamplus Hub in her culture of imparting lives with invaluable skills (both tech and non-tech skills) has come again with the Django Girls Abraka workshop. This is a two (2) day workshop proudly sponsored by Python Software Foundation (PSF), Django Software Foundation (DSF) and the Django Girls Foundation. This year’s workshop is the 3rd in a consecutive series held in Abraka and organized by Hamplus Technologies International.
The first day of the Django Girls workshop officially began at exactly 1pm with an opening speech from Miss Ewomazino. She warmly welcomed all participants, introduced the vision behind Django Girls, and outlined what we would be learning throughout the program.

To get us started, Mr Kingsley took the stage and guided us through the basics of Django, giving us a simple introduction to the framework and what makes it such a powerful tool for building web applications. His session was practical and interactive, as he patiently walked us through the installation process step by step. The participants set up their systems, exchanged tips, and overcame small installation challenges together. It was a collaborative learning environment, with everyone supporting one another.
As the day drew to a close, light snacks were shared among the participants, giving us a chance to relax and connect with each other after the technical session.
Day 1 ended on a high note. We successfully installed Django, and we had also taken our very first steps into the world of web development.

On the second day of this workshop, the event officially kicked off at exactly 9:00 AM with an opening speech from Miss Ewomazino. She warmly welcomed everyone, shared the structure of the day, and gave us a glimpse of what we’d be learning and building by the end of the program.
To set the tone, customized T-shirts were handed out to participants who were present early. With that, we dove straight into the core reason we had gathered which was learning the fundamentals of HTML and Python programming language.
After a while, breakfast was served, giving us the chance to recharge before continuing the intensive learning session.

By afternoon, lunch was served to keep the energy up, and soon after, the event drew closer to its conclusion. Miss Ewomazino returned to the stage with a heartfelt closing remark, wrapping up the day’s activities on an inspiring note.
Before heading home, we captured the memories with some group photo which is a perfect way to end a day of learning, networking, and growth.
