Empowering Tomorrow: Hamplus Hub Nigeria Awards Full Scholarships to Five DELSU Students
In a powerful show of community impact and tech-driven empowerment, Hamplus Hub Nigeria, a rising technology company based in Abraka, Delta State, has awarded full scholarships to five students of Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU). The scholarships cover a 3-month intensive training in Web Development and Data Analysis, aimed at equipping young minds with the tools they need to thrive in the digital world.
The recipients—Stephanie Eguonor Edyala (Computer Science Education, 200 Level), Praise-God Igho (Computer Science, 100 Level), Ubaka Chigozie Mitchell (Computer Science, 100 Level), Eroh Oghenemaro Divine (Computer Science, 100 Level), and Okorhiei Treasure Oghenemaro (Computer Science, 100 Level)—were selected after a competitive screening process by Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOSS), Delta State University Chapter; that evaluated both their academic standing and passion for technology.
On the 18th day of July, 2025, the students were officially received at Hamplus Hub Nigeria’s head office in Abraka, where they were welcomed with open arms by the company’s team and leadership.
“We believe that the next generation of Nigerian innovators are sitting right here in our communities,” said Oghoepha Precious, Manager of Hamplus Hub Nigeria. “By offering these scholarships, we’re not just teaching code—we’re helping to rewrite the future.”
The visit included a tour of the company’s development lab, interactive sessions with software engineers and data scientists, and an inspiring round table discussion with Hamplus Hub mentors, many of whom are DELSU interns and alumni themselves.
For students like Oghenemaro Divine Eroh, the scholarship is more than just a learning opportunity—it’s a dream realized.
“I’ve always wanted to learn data science, but I didn’t know where to start or how to afford it,” she shared. “Being selected for this scholarship feels like the beginning of something big.”
The 3-month program promises hands-on experience, real-world projects, and mentorship designed to prepare these students for careers in a fast-evolving tech ecosystem. At the end of the training, they’ll not only graduate with strong technical skills but also portfolios to showcase their work—and the confidence to compete on a global stage.
This initiative is part of Hamplus Hub Nigeria’s broader commitment to nurturing local talent and closing the opportunity gap in underrepresented areas. It’s not just corporate social responsibility—it’s community building in action.
